Mindfulness helps us to recognize our instinctive reactions to everyday events. These reactions are often unconscious and driven by our emotions. Once we are aware of our habitual reactions we can start to change them. Mindfulness techniques are scientifically researched approaches which enable us to cultivate clarity, insight, and understanding of our reactions to everyday stresses. Mindfulness is helpful for all types of people. People of all ages and backgrounds. Mindfulness is not a religion. People of any faith or none can find it equally beneficial. Mindfulness originated in the East but it is now widely accepted as a very effective way to manage stress. There is a wealth of scientific data linking mindfulness and meditation to stress reduction, and it is now recommended by many doctors and National Health Service practitioners. It is also practised in many schools. Mindfulness 1-2-1 CoachingMindfulness 1-2-1 CourseThe Mindfulness Meditation for Wellbeing course consists of six sessions in total. The duration of the first session is 2 hours, and includes a full consultation. If after the 30 minute consultation we determine that Mindfulness Meditation might not be appropriate for you for any reason, the course will not go ahead and no charge will be made. This is followed with 5 further 1½ hour weekly sessions.The cost of the six sessions is £280.00, payable in full at the start of the course. Supporting material includes 4 workbooks and guided meditation and Naikan excercise (see below) CDs. There will also be ongoing email support when required. Mindfulness 1-2-1 SessionThis session is designed for individuals or couples with limited time, who want a one-off tutorial to get them up and running, so that they can begin to reap the benefits from this highly effective practice. Further sessions can be booked as and when required, to further develop and expand your practice.The duration of a one-to-one Mindfulness Meditation session is 2 hours, and costs £80.00 for an individual, or £140.00 for a couple. Printed supporting material and a starter guided meditation CD is included in the price. Naitan SessionsNaikan refers to inner focus and is the name given to a series of meditation methods and exercises which work on the energy of the body and mind in a similar way to acupuncture or yoga. These practices help develop grounding, dissolve physical tension and blocks, and promote mental, emotional and physical harmony.The Naikan sessions are in two stages, spread two weeks apart, to give you time to practice and familiarise yourself with the exercises. Each session lasts 1 hour, and you will receive a supporting CD to guide you with your practice. The cost for the two sessions is £80.00, payable at the first session.
