Mindfulness is a mental state achieved by focusing your thoughts on the present moment.

Your current feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations are acknowledged, and accepted. Mindfulness will not remove the pressures of life. But it can help us react to those pressures more calmly, and so improve our emotional and physical health.

Mindfulness helps us to recognize our instinctive reactions to everyday events. These reactions are often unconscious and driven by our emotions. Once we are aware of our habitual reactions we can start to change them.

Mindfulness techniques are scientifically researched approaches which enable us to cultivate clarity, insight, and understanding of our reactions to everyday stresses.

The practice of mindfulness allows us to be fully present in our daily lives. And so improves our quality of life.

Mindfulness helps you to:

  • Recognise and slow down, or stop, automatic and habitual reactions
  • Respond more effectively to complex or difficult situations
  • See situations more objectively
  • Become more creative in handling difficult situations
  • Achieve balance and resilience. At work and at home

Mindfulness is helpful for all types of people. People of all ages and backgrounds. Mindfulness is not a religion. People of any faith or none can find it equally beneficial.

Mindfulness originated in the East but it is now widely accepted as a very effective way to manage stress. There is a wealth of scientific data linking mindfulness and meditation to stress reduction, and it is now recommended by many doctors and National Health Service practitioners. It is also practised in many schools.

Mindfulness 1-2-1 Coaching

The course consists of five sessions. The duration of the first session is 2 hours, and includes a full consultation. This is followed with 3 further 1½ hour weekly sessions, plus an additional follow-up review session. The cost of the five sessions is 300.00, and includes 4 workbooks, two meditation CDs (four meditations in total), and email support when required.

Once you have completed a full course, you will be invited to attend my monthly Group Mindfulness Meditation evenings. These evenings take place on the last Tuesday of each month, and are designed to be standalone, so that you can attend as and when convenient. You will be notified of each session by WhatsApp or by text. The group sessions last two hours, and cost 10.00. Supplementary material, where applicable, will be sent on in pdf format to all attendees.

Group Course

In addition to 1-2-1 courses, I run a limited number of group courses. The course consists of 4 weekly sessions, plus a revision session.

Each session will start at 10.00am and finish at 12.00pm.
